Whoopie Pies

One of the topics I teach students is called "Food Trends". We look at how the types of food we eat change, and why they do so. I was doing some 'research' on Pinterest, and have noticed a growing trend of "Whoopie pies". The story of their origin varies, though they apparently come from the New England region of America. They are really just 2 cakey biscuits joined together with a butter cream filling. Being the 'good' teacher that I am, I feel that it is important for my students to try some of the new food trends, so here are some whoopie pies for you to try... for research purposes only of course!

  3. I have been hearing a lot about whoopie pies lately. They do look yum, but I think that in the best interests of my diet I will stay away... for now ;)
